India – Magical Rajasthan

From Mumbai we continued our journey to North and after 17hours by bus we arrived in Udaipur. Definitely India is proving at each day it is a magical place. Everything is amazing here … The architecture of the cities, the people, the mess, the landscape …!
Udaipur is known as the white city of Rajasthan and its lake Pichola helps to create an incredible visual. We stayed in a cool hotel with a wonderful view of the lake and the castle guaranteeing a nice sunset every day.

We took enough time to relax from our tiring trips, we visited the City Palace and Alexis did all possible courses … Painting class, sitar class and cooking class… While Carol spent a terrible day sick in the hotel room. Life is unfair sometimes! Heheheh …

After we left to Jodhpur on a bus without air con, eating dust and jumping like a popcorn for the entire trip. Jodhpur surprised us, the blue city of Rajasthan is even more authentic and charming. While Udaipur is transformed by tourism over here you see the real India.

The fantastic and noisy clock tower market is impressive and guarantees fun for a few hours just watching the locals, cows, donkeys and so on. You walk the blue alleys with the bikes passing and honking incessantly, cows relaxing in the way, men with their turbans of all colors and the local women with their clothes super colorful.

In addition, the Mehrangarh Fort, the fort of the city with its castle, is magical and transports you to another era.

Tomorrow we continue our journey through Rajasthan, still a lots of interesting things ahead. We can’t wait.
