Italy was also not in our plans, but ended up appearing when the Carol’s mother decided to meet us in Europe. We were there just to visit friends of Carol’s family who live next to Pisa and also friends of ours who live in Rome. We already knew Italy, but it is never too much to take a trip back in time in this country of jaw-dropping architectural marvels, including one of the 7 wonders of the world, the Colosseum. We spent 14 delightful days in Pisa, Florence, Tuscany and Rome. Beautiful Italy!
