New island, new scenery, new culture, in Bali there is beaches, surfers, palm trees, rice fields everywhere, it’s lovely. Religion also is different here, it’s Hinduism, one of the oldest religions still practiced in the world, small Hindu temples in the majority of private gardens give a strong identity to the island, almost unreal surroundings . We went to the south of the island in Kuta where we spent five days in a cheap hotel with a pool with hot water but cold shower … A city-mess full of young tourists came for surfing and partying, lots of restaurants, bars and night clubs. We rented a scooter and went to get lost for 2 day on the roads hunting the beaches of the South, becareful you must drive on the left side in Indonesia and the rules of the road in Asia, hmm how to say… they don’t really exist!
Carol got her back burned by the sun, you got no chance here if you do not put sunscreen regularly. We enjoyed every night the beautiful sunsets on the beaches. The one in the monkey’s temple in Uluwatu was particularly impressive. Alexis had a surfing lessons, it was a lots of fun. We had also a legs and feet massage for a nice price. It’s been over two weeks that we are in Indonesia and only one month we started the adventure and we can say that everything is going pretty well, we have already done so many things and it is only the beginning, so much happiness…
